The Lock-It foundation I got is in Light 45 shade (light beige with warm undertone). Not a perfect match for me, a bit too yellow and a tad too light for my current skin tone. But damn is this foundation highly pigmented! You really just need very little product for a full coverage. I am not used to such heavy coverage, so I naturally wanted to wash my face off right away after applying the foundation on my face. I can see how some would love it though, if you’re into full coverage that is. I may have to play around with a smaller amount of product to see if I can get a sheer coverage instead. The matte effect is my favorite part about this product. It lasts through the day, eliminating shine in unwanted areas.

The Lock-It Concealer in Light 7 (Light with warm undertone) is a better fit for my skin. It is best applied with your fingers, as the product seems to stay in place when using a sponge. I like how this concealer is brightening without being over the top. It blended into my skin very well, all while keeping that matte effect. I must admit that I will incorporate this concealer into my green beauty routine. I am so glad that more cosmetic brands are becoming cruelty and toxin -free, keeping harmful ingredients away from our skin and harm away from defenseless animals. Keep it up, Kat Von D!

The London Mask by Twelve Beauty

Obsessed! Hands down, my favorite mask of all times. I don’t know what is about this mask that just delivers to all my skincare needs. Moisturizing just enough. Softening. Calming. Perfect for sensitive, easily irritable skin. A holy grail of masks!

I first got to try this mask through Boxwalla beauty box subscription. Normally, I would not consider buying a $92 mask, so it was a great opportunity to try this new luxury skincare brand. After using the mask 1-2 times, I rushed to place another order to keep this mask stocked for later. Needless to say, I decided to try other products by Twelve Beauty, and they did not disappoint.

Violet-C Radiance Mask by Tatcha

Tatcha is one of my favorite green beauty brands, their products just never disappoint. Always made with potent quality ingredients and formulated with results in mind. This purple (who doesn’t love purple!) Violet-C Radiance Mask is no exception!

This creamy texture delivers softening and glowing effects, brightening and protecting your skin from UV damage. The two different types of vitamin C in this mask (water-soluble  & oil-soluble) keep antioxidants protection around longer,  gradually improving skin tone, making it brighter and more even-toned. The mask doesn’t dry out on your face if you leave it for a long time, and is easy to rinse off.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

I won’t lie, this mask was an impulse buy. Who can say “no” to this pink watermelony goodness?! It smells as good as it sounds. Fresh, sweet watermelon without the associated with it stickiness. This mask is perfect for warm summer weather. You can store it in the fridge for that extra cooling effect. This mask has a gel-like texture, a little hard to scoop with a tiny spatula-spoon in comes with, but it’s manageable. You must make sure you mix it well prior to application, as the oil in the mask separates and ends up on top.

What I like about this mask is that it dries up very quickly, but without that drying effect, and you can actually go to sleep with it on, rinsing it off in the morning. It does peel off a bit with a thin film, so you’re likely to have some particles on your pillow and in your hair the next morning, but no big deal. I often forget that I went to sleep with this mask on, and get surprised how radiant and well-rested I look when I glance at myself in the mirror in the morning. Realizing a minute later that I have a mask on that needs to be rinsed off. The glowing, radiant effect doesn’t go away after rinsing, and my skin always feels softer and smoother afterwards.

Farmacy Honey Potion Mask

Lastly, I wanted to include this Honey Potion Mask by Farmacy. I have mixed feelings about this brand, as I find their skincare products a bit too strong for my sensitive skin. But this mask is a keeper in my book. I wouldn’t use it every day, but it is a great addition to a spa day in the comfort of your bathroom. Honey Potion has a sticky texture at first, but warms up upon contact into a creamy paste, so your face gets quite warm, even hot after a while. Great way to open up pores for cleaning. Skin is immediately radiant as the blood gets rushed to the surface. I love to cool my face off with a cold water afterwards, which feels so good!

And, girl, am I glad I got it! I am not a fan of everything pumpkin, and I am not on the pumpkin-spice bandwagon, but I love how this mask smells and feels on my skin! The scent is very bright, spicy but natural. Smells legit like a pumpkin spice latte. The texture is creamy but light, with exfoliating apricot seed granules gently massaging and clearing out skin congestions. Overtime Mask is packed with vitamins A, K and C, E, as well as pumpkin, which contains natural enzymes and antioxidants, leaving skin plump, smooth and radiant.

This mask is great to transition your skin into the new season. Perfect way to mask-away summer’s skin damages from sun, polluted air, overexposure to AC, as well as sleepless nights (I’m with you here!)

CONS: I am not thrilled about the packaging of this mask. Yes, it is convenient to use, but it starts to look wrinkled-up from the moment your start squeezing the product out. I also think the price is a tad too high for the amount of product you get ($44!). Definitely is a great mask, but not sure I would re-purchase it often at this price.

Perfect solution for stressed, tired and aged skin, this oil is packed with extracts of Damask Rose, African Immortelle flower, Rosehip seed oil, working their magic to rejuvenate and restore your skin. This oil works great for both mornings and evenings. I like to rub a few drops of oil between my palms after applying my favorite rose water to tone my skin, and gently pressing the oil onto my face and neck. A little goes a long way, as you only need a little product each time.

The scent is so intoxicating, like sticking your face into a jar of freshest flowers essence! Definitely delivers that luxury spa feel!

Update: I’ve been using this oil for a couple weeks now, and I fall more and more in love with how it feels and the changes it makes in my skin. This oil delivers! It calms and hydrates my skin, without leaving an oily film all over my t-zone. Waking up to a well-rested face, plump and even-toned skin.

MUN Aknari Brightening Youth Serum

This serum is a perfect multitasking product because you can use it on your face, neck, and as an eye serum. Aknari Serum is oil-based and absorbs quickly. It contains prickly pear seed oil, argan oil, rose oil among other skin-loving ingredients, providing antioxidant protection and brightening tired, dull skin. This serum smells very natural and luxurious. You only need a drop or two for each use, rub the oil between your hands and pat onto your face or dab a small amount on your under eye skin. I love how soft and supple my skin feels afterwards, and how much more rested and brighter my under-eye skin looks.

This serum is great for all skin types and can be used during the day to prep your face for makeup (or to help you rock that no-makeup look!), or as a night treatment to wake up to a well rested, even-toned face.

AMLY Botanicals Silver Rich Face Mist ‘Beauty Sleep’ 

I loved ALMY Radiance Boost Face Mist that I received in one of last year’s boxes, so I was thrilled to try another mist from this line. This ‘Beauty Sleep” face mist is to be used at night, so it is a perfect addition to my night time skincare routine. This silver-rich water mist is healing and restorative, working on producing collagen and repairing skin cells while you are getting a well deserved beauty sleep.

Beauty Sleep Face Mist is full of some of my favorite skincare ingredients, such as Linden oil, Neroli and Geranium floral water, Rose Quartz, Echinacea, to name just a few. I’m currently using 02, but when I get some sun, I mix 02 with 03 to create a custom color. It’s quite easy to blend this foundation. I just use an empty used Gressa foundation bottle and mix my own ration of the two colors. Perfect solution for the in-between tones or seasonal color changes. Just remember which is which =)

After blending it with my finger:

I’m absolutely in awe with Gressa’s Air Focus Foundation Brush. So soft and fluffy, and it evenly distributes the oil-to-powder foundation. Just a few drops of the Corrective Serum Foundation, depending on the coverage you want, and you have a healthy-looking glowing face!

Excuse me while I find the best lighting to show you the results…I am wearing ONLY some eyebrow pencil (my one and only here) and Gressa Corrective Serum Foundation. The face was prepped with Gressa Purifying Oil right before applying the foundation. I don’t feel like anything else is needed for a daily wear, since my face looks bright and even. Best part, the face is breathing! Less is more with Gressa.

I have recently noticed the blogger world going crazy over RMS Beauty products, so I’ve decided to give this organic brand a try. I’m impressed! RMS is dedicated to using the freshest raw and organic ingredients in their skincare and makeup, to bring out all the possible benefits they have for skin.RMS Beauty products are Gluten Free, GMO Free, Soy Free, Nano Free and Cruelty Free. Here are my RMS Favorites so far:

“Un” Cover-up in ’22’

This is a very moisturizing and well-pigmented concealer, goes very well under eyes to cover up dark undereye skin!

I love that it doesn’t crease how most concealers so, but rather applies as a tinted moisturizer. It feels silky and goes on smoothly, making skin more radient and minimizing the appearance of pores.

Makes my eyes and skin feel rested and fresh!

Lip Shine in ‘Sublime’

Beautiful buildable pink! You can do a light layer for a pink sheer/tint, or buld it up to a more rich full color.

This Lip Shine is very moisturizing and does not leave a steaky feeling. It has the moisture of a lip balm and a color/shine of a lipgloss. Moringa oil fills this lip shine with many nutrients; the fatty acids, vitamins A and C offer a strong antioxidant protection.

Here I’m wearing a light layer of Sublime. You can see how soft and moisturizing it is!

Now, on to my newest obsession: GRESSA SKIN!

I’m utterly in love with this brand and what it stands for! Skincare-based makeup is such a lovely addition to my no-makeup and natural looks! And I love love LOVE knowing it improves my skin at the same time! I will talk about Gressa’s makeup goodies in future posts, but for now I’ll introduce you to two of my favorite skincare products.

Gressa Nourishing Purifying Oil

Whatever is in there, it must very well be mixed with a spoonful of magic! My face is on cloud 9 with this oil on. It absorbs very well and leaves an amazing healthy non-greasy glow and radiance. I was amazed to see the results just after couple days of use!

At $51 for a small bottle is may seem pricey, but a little really does go a long way. A mixuture of skin-loving oils such as Jojoba, Rosehip, Grapeseed, Calendula, Red Raspberry and many others, makes it a powerful nourishing product. Be gone fine lines, hello smooth even skin!

Dirty Pretty Things

This scrub/mask was actually my very first Gressa purchase from WholeFoods, and it was love at first use! Be ready for a strong earthy-spicy(not as in ‘hot’ though) smell. This scrub is packed with amazing ground herbs and spices, along with Moroccan red clay. It sloughs away dead skin and purifies pores, and you can feel it doing so! You migth feel a tingle, it threw me off at first, but then I realized it was the cinnamon! Who doesn’t love cinnamon?!

All you need is a spoonful of the powder. I usually just put it on my palm and add few drops of water until it becomes a thick paste. Scrub your face and leave it on for few minutes as a mask. Wash off with warm water and follow with a toner and Gressa Skin Oil.

Face feels renewed and purified, I love the glow I get after this treatment!
