Routine Deodorant
I got to try this wonderful deodorant as a sample in my Petit Vour July box. This was my first introduction to the Routine brand. Once again, I’m so glad I got to sample something that I would probably never buy otherwise. After many failed attempts on switching to natural, aluminum-free deodorants, I’ve decided that it’s not for me. That is, until Routine Cream Deodorant came into my life!
I got my sample in ‘Sexy Sadie’ and fell in love with the smell. It is a sweet, earthy and spicy scent, with notes of Ylang-Ylang, Patchouli, Sweet Orange, Cinnamon and Vanilla. I don’t usually like patchouli, but here it is not too overpowering. It does have that earthy hippie smell to it though, but in a very appealing way.
This deodorant is non-toxic, vegan, and not tested on animals! The clay-based formula is a great green alternative to your usual deodorant. For those who sweat a lot, this product might not be perfect for keeping you dry on hot summer days or when you are very active. But then again — no products I’ve tried so far do. But this deodorant does a great job at neutralizing underarm odor without the harmful ingredients. I still use my stronger deodorant if I have an active day ahead of me or will be out of the house all day. But Routine is now my go-to deodorant for less active days. It can easily be re-applied throughout the day to freshen you up.
The finger application prevents bacterial contimination of the product. It takes a little getting used to, but it’s a smarted way.

Does it last as long as 12 hours? What about marks on dark clothing?
P.s- you have a great blog!
Hey hey! Thank you Bindu! Appreciate you checking out my site =)
As I have mentioned, I use this deodorant mainly when I’m at home or in a low-activity mode. To me, it does not protect from sweat as much, but it sure does prevent any smell associated with it. I’d say, you may need to reapply it sooner than 12 hours, depending on how it works on your body. As of white marks on clothing, I haven’t noticed any. If I put on too much, I gently wipe the excess with a tissue, but more of it just absorbs and dries out. This deodorant is clay-based, so I’d think it’d be easier to wash off if marks do appear. I will have to pay attention to that next time. Also, I am curious to test it out in winter months when my body doesn’t melt off everything I put on it!
But my favorite part about this, is that it’s harmless to my body when I don’t really need a strong protection. And I love the unique smell!
