I have to set one fact straight: I’m a hopeless lip balm addict! Now, you don’t need a whole collection of every possible lip moisturizing product there is out there, but everyone should keep one option available wherever they go. Last thing you want is people starring at your dry lip flakes as you speak, or feel it as you kiss. Not attractive at all! Our lips skin is thinner than any other skin on our body. Thus, you need extra protection to keep it healthy. So, how DO we keep our lips soft and smooth?

1. Use a lip balm with at least SPF 15 to protect your lips from the sun damage. There are so many delicious options available for you, try not to lick it off! My all time favorites are Tony Moly Peach Lip Balm, EOS, and Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm. Light, moisturizing and smell delicious!

2. Exfoliation! I know this is something you’re more used to doing on your face and body, but exfoliating your lips helps to remove the dry, dead skin and leave them smooth and plump. There are lots of options available to buy, my favorite is the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish, just becasue it smells/tastes heavenly. Or you can simply mix some granulated sugar with your favorite oils, honey and what not, and have yourself a lip scrub just as good for less the cost!

3. Drink your aqua! Lips lose moisture very quickly, so stay hydrated by making sure you drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Your skin and body will be thankfull as well!
