Belarusian Village Photo Diary

I want to share with you some photos from the village where my grandmother has lived her whole life. I’ve spent a big part of my childhood running around these dirt roads, so every corner holds a special memory. It is not the same as it used to be or as I remember it being. Most of the original residents of this part of the village have passed away, and some old buildings have burned down or been demolished (by humans and by time). I am more fond of the pictures and senses saved in my memory than what is left of the village now, but it would be a shame not to share these with the world.

Seattle Seafair

The view of Mt. Rainier never fails to amaze me on a clear sunny day! By no means am I promoting everyone moving here: it rains ALL the time and we are doomed to perish from The Very Big One. But if you have never been to Washington, summer is the best time to visit this beautiful state. Every year people gather for the Seattle Seafair to watch Blue Angels Air Show over Lake Washington, and it is always super fun and breath-taking! If you get a chance to be on the boat for the show — even better! Thousands of people gather for a great time with their families and friends: drinks, food, loud music, water activities, and more. If you are bringing your kids, watch out of the topless ladies though =)

Ok, I was sarcastic about the constant rain and the destruction theory…But it IS getting a bit overcrowded in here! Here are some pictures from the Air Show!

I’ve decided to share some photos from my October trip to LA in 2014. The Malibu Beach walk is breath-taking! So serene and mind-refreshing! With very few people wandering down this part of the beach, it is the perfect destination for a quiet and relaxing stroll.

Santa Barbara

If you have never been to Santa Barbara, I highly suggest taking a day trip to this beautiful city! It’s been quite some time since my last visit here, so it was very refreshing to go over some previously seen spots. On a late weekday afternoon the city is very quiet, it has this beautiful apocalyptic feel to it. What a great way to escape the noise and chaos of Southern California, Los Angeles in particular!

The random church I stumbled upon on the way to the Santa Barbara Courthouse. I absolutely adore Santa Barbara’s architecture and the historic vibe!

Anywhere you look, you could find amazing views and backgrounds. What a perfect town for photoshoots!

The SANTA BARBARA COURT HOUSE has the most peaceful inner yard with freshly-cut grass. I could spend all day here reading a book and napping.
